Athlete of the Month: Robert Ratzlaff
Rob came to Triathletix for help with setting an Ironman personal record (PR) after completing two IM races. His profession as a military flight surgeon makes training a challenge because Uncle Sam believes he has the right to dictate Rob's schedule, regardless of what his coach has in mind. For his last ironman, Ironman Wisconsin, he trained in 12 different states and in 5 different countries. No easy task, but his motto "no whining" got him through. He simply went about his training when and where he could.
The training, along with a monstrous cheering section that brought him home in a very loud way, paid off big-time with Robert chopping 90 minutes off his best IM for a new PR.
Congratulations to Rob for a job very well done!
