At TRIATHLETIX, it is our mission to help you make the most out of your membership in 2008. The Clinic Series and Workouts are designed to accommodate all skill levels and will provide those who participate, access to a wealth of knowledge and expertise, touching on the most critical aspects of our sport.
The LATC has contracted Triathletix to offer you the following FREE workouts, clinics and lectures. Also listed below, are a variety of Triathlon specific Premium clinics that we offer to the general public, however, LATRI members receive an exclusive 10% discount.

Free Workouts, Clinics and Meetings
Track Workouts
- Weekly Track - Valley: Wednesdays at 6:30 pm, Harvard/Westlake School
- Weekly Track - Santa Monica: Tuesdays at 6:30 pm, Santa Monica College
- Weekly Track – South Bay: Thursdays at 6:30 pm, West High School
These weekly coached workout is designed to improve your strength, aerobic capacity and speed! Interval training, drills and stretching are all part of this interactive run workout for all abilities - no RSVP necessary - see you there!

Clinics
Bike 101 This monthly interactive course will teach you how to love your bike. Learn about being fit properly, shifting/gearing and basic maintenance to ensure your bike doesn’t let you down on race day. Oh, and how to change a flat tire (front and back) so you can quickly get back on the road if you flat!

New Member Nights These monthly meetings are designed for those who recently joined the club, however,
they are open to EVERYONE. Members and non-members, novices, elite - come one, come
all! We discuss how to make the most of your LA Tri Club membership. We discuss
any and all things triathlon - it's a triathlon extravaganza!!!

Lectures
Deeper Look at Tri Bike Training
This is going to be a very detailed look at all things related to cycling for triathlon- safety, fit, gearing, shifting, beginner and advanced training tips, drills and workouts. Ian Murray's leading this and what can we say about that guy: USA Triathlon level II certified, USA Cycling Level II certified, USAT's development coach of the year 2006 - time trialist, road racer, mtb racer, cyclecross racer, lover of bikes and all things that ride them

Need for Speed
Specifically developed for the Sprint and Olympic distant triathlete, the whys and how’s of Speed training will be discussed. Whether it’s the swim, bike or run, by understanding the energy systems of the human body and how to apply them to your workouts, your true potential will be revealed.

Looking Towards Ironman
This is an event dedicated to those who are considering doing an iron distance triathlon in the future. This includes absolute beginners who are dreaming about it - to advanced folks who have been racing for years. We will discuss time commitment, race selection, preparation, goal setting, nutrition, gear, and unveil some secrets to making the dream come true.

PreSeason
All levels welcome. Don't let another Pre-season go by. Get your body ready for a new level of performance next season - now! This is the launching pad to tackling your limiters identified from 2006. Rebalance and tear into 2007 and 2008! We will discuss race selection, how often one can race, how many times one can expect to be at their best in a season, and how to avoid burnout and injury - especially in Southern California where the season often can run from mid March to early November. "Periodized Training" will also be explained.
